Finally, for the first time in three years, Roppongi Art Night will return fully in September. The Covid-19 pandemic that hit Japan and other countries around the world to make this annual festival was canceled. Roppongi Art Night is one of the most anticipated art festival events in Japan, but its latest edition had to be postponed and canceled due to complications related to Covid-19. But this time, it looks like the event will be back with a longer event than usual. Reporting from Timeout, not just one night, Roppongi Art Night 2022 will be held for three days. The event takes place over the weekend from Friday 17 September to Sunday 19 September. There is Takashi Murakamiwhich invited 13 other artists to collaborate with him on a Doraemon-themed art project, something Murakami and the organizers of Art Night have been trying to do since 2020. Apart from that, there are Japanese and international artists such as Madsaki, Aya Takano, Chiho Aoshima, Emi Kuraya and Lung case. The works will be displayed in four main venues: Roppongi Hills Arena, Tokyo Midtown, The National Art Center and Roppongi Lapilos.
